Cape Coral Fireworks Show: The Basics
If you’re spending the Fourth of July in Cape Coral, the can’t-miss event is Red, White and Boom. It’s Southwest Florida’s biggest Cape Coral fireworks show. By most measures, it’s also the most spectacular Independence Day celebration between Tampa Bay and Miami.
The free event runs Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 5pm to 10pm. You’ll find it at the foot of the Cape Coral Parkway Bridge in downtown Cape Coral. The city closes Cape Coral Parkway to traffic and turns it into a festival street. Look for a main stage, more than 60 vendor booths, and a Kids Patriot Park zone with rides, a climbing wall, and obstacle courses.
The night builds toward the American Fireworks Spectacular at 9:30 p.m. Crews fire more than 4,000 shells from the bridge itself over the Caloosahatchee River, synced to music. You can hear the simulcast on Cat Country 107.1 FM or the iHeartRadio app.
Want a VIP Experience?
You can buy “VIP Boom Zone” tickets for $40 per adult (21+) or $20 per child (ages 5-20). Kids under 5 get in free. The Boom Zone package includes a meal, soda or water, a game area, a private section, prime fireworks viewing, and air-conditioned restrooms. Tickets typically go on sale in early May, so grab them early if you want a guaranteed spot.
Getting There & Parking
This is the part tourists most often get wrong, so plan ahead. The city closes the Cape Coral Bridge at 3:00 a.m. on July 4th to prepare for the event. Cape Coral Parkway from Del Prado Boulevard to the bridge closes too. Use the Midpoint Memorial Bridge or the US-41 Caloosahatchee Bridge instead. You’ll find free parking in the South Cape entertainment district lots. Trolleys run all evening to the venue entrance.
The Best-Kept Secret: Watch from the Water
If you’re staying at a waterfront vacation rental or have access to a boat, don’t skip this option. Many people consider watching the Cape Coral fireworks from the Caloosahatchee River the best view of the show. You’ll see the bridge’s fireworks at full height above the water, and you’ll stay safely outside the launch zone. You can also book an organized fireworks cruise if you don’t have your own boat.
A Few Things to Know
Leave your pets, outside fireworks, and outside alcohol at home; the event doesn’t allow them. The event welcomes all ages, but keep in mind the fireworks show is loud. That’s worth remembering if you’re bringing small children or babies. Don’t worry about weather scares, either. Red, White and Boom happens rain or shine, though officials may postpone festivities if lightning strikes within 10 miles.
Whether you grab a spot streetside, treat yourself to the Boom Zone, or watch from a boat on the Caloosahatchee, you’ll experience Cape Coral fireworks at their best this Fourth of July.
